Research Focus
Julie Ross investigates the genetic and environmental causes of cancer, focusing on pediatric cancers. She oversees several National Cancer Institute-funded studies that investigate the causes of leukemia in children and adults. She also directs a laboratory that investigates environmental and genetic mechanisms in cancer. Ross helped develop the Childhood Cancer Research Network, a national pediatric cancer research registry that facilitates studies in the causes and consequences of childhood cancer. She also directs a student training program in pediatric cancer epidemiology research.
