Established in 2004, the Academic Health Center Office of Emergency Response (AHC-OER) ensures that health emergencies affecting the University community are addressed in a timely, efficient, and effective manner. We do this by utilizing both internal and external resources and expertise.
OER works in close collaboration with other University departments, particularly Department of Emergency Management, Boynton Health Service, and Department of Environmental Health and Safety.
AHC-OER also serves to coordinate and organize available response resources within the AHC in preparation to assist community partners during a local, state, or national health emergency.
